Home, Sweet Home...

I love getting to see my family, and not having to worry about schoolwork or anything for an entire month!! I just get to hang out. On Friday I went and watched Four Christmases with Michael Montanez, but before I left Dani & I snapped some pictures together.
*My eyes are opened really wide and I don't really know why*

Take My Advice...

It is so nice to be back in Lovell for Christmas. Even though I've only been here a little over a week, lots has happened.

First after I got into Lovell on the twelfth (Friday), I came to my house for about a half hour and then went up to Billings to stay with Melissa. The roads from Laramie to Lovell were great and so were the roads from Lovell to Billings. The next day was a totally different story. Overnight it snowed so much, and I couldn't get home. The road was closed from Lovell to Billings, which I've never heard of happening before. I was a little bumbed since it was my birthday, but Melissa and I had a really fun time.

On Tuesday I had a dentist appointment: a cleaning in the morning at 10:00, and then to see Scotty at 1:00. I knew it had been awhile since I had last been to the dentist, but come to find out I hadn't been there in 10 YEARS!!!!! I couldn't believe it. On top of that I had 11 cavities, 3 of which were so deep the lady that cleaned my teeth thought they could be a root canal.

Scotty was sick and couldn't make my appointment on Tuesday, so I went in again on Thursday to get some of my cavities filled. So I got to go to the Lovell vs. Rocky game with a numb mouth (not very fun!!).

I was supposed to have a dentist appointment yesterday at 10:00 in the morning, but he was running way behind. Once again I was reschedualed and went in this morning at 8:00!!! Boy was I tired & really didn't want to go, but I figured I might as well get it over with. So now I have about half of my cavities filled and get to come back again for spring break and go get some more filled!!!

So, take my advice.... DON'T WAIT TEN YEARS TO GO TO THE DENTIST, NOT FUN!!

An Exciting Night...

Katelyn asked me once if she could spend the night over at my house, but Kara had told her no. She was so disappointed, and it broke my heart. I'm not sure why but every time I go to leave either Katelyn or Jacob beg me not to leave. Maybe they don't see me enough (even though I'm over there A LOT!!)

Kylie went home to visit her family for the weekend, and since I was home alone I decided to ask Kara if the kids could come sleep at my house. When the answer was yes, I asked Katelyn and Jacob if they wanted to. Well, Katelyn was ecstatic, Jacob said yes but wasn't as pumped as Katelyn. After getting everything gathered up and loaded in the car, we hadn't even left the parking lot when both the kids said they missed their mom and dad. I was sure this "sleep over" was only going to be a movie and then home night.

After a imaginative game of Barbies, we all settled onto our beds that were on the living room floor where we watched a movie. By 9:30 the kids were out. At 11:30 I heard a little cry coming from Jacob. When I went and picked him up, he fell asleep instantly on my shoulder. After discovering I couldn't lay him down on the floor without him crying, he laid on my stomach while I was on the couch. Around 2:30 in the morning Jacob went and laid back on the floor and fell fast asleep. Nobody else aroused until 6:15, where I was woken up by a soft petting on my hand. Katelyn needed more chocolate milk (boy can those kids drink a ton of milk!!) After that, they were bright-eyed and bushy-tailed!!!

Katelyn and Jacob were impressed with my french toast making skills, I made it just like their mom!! After changing to a different movie about three times along with coloring some pictures, the kids packed up, and we headed back the their house at 9:30.

I absolutely love those kids, and they're so much fun!! I'm so glad that I can be down here and get to be with them and Kara & Jason!! Thanks Kate & Jake for a super fun night, and thanks Kara & Jase for trusting me with your kids and letting them come!!!!!

How Time Flies...

I can't believe how fast this semester is gone. I'm almost done with my first semester at college, WHOO HOO!!!! I just had my last chemistry class today tomorrow is my last day for all my other classes, CRAZY. The year definitely goes faster since classes are only a semester, you can live through anything for 4 months.

I had my lab finals this week. Tuesday was Biology, which wasn't too bad. Wednesday was my Chemistry Lab Final. I think I did pretty well over all, but there were a few questions that I had no idea how to do, and of course they were in the section worth the most points!! I'm nervous for finals, but happy there's no class so I can spend all day studying for each one.

FINALS WEEK, HERE I COME!!

TWILIGHT...

Last night Kara, Kylie, and I went to the midnight showing of Twilight. It was absolutely amazing, most definitely worth the wait and worth seeing again. Even though I had an exam this morning at 9 a.m., it was totally worth not going to bed until 2:30 in the morning for that movie.

Today after my anthropology exam and math quiz, I went and babysat Kara's kids so her and Jason could go watch Twilight. Tomorrow night I'm going to watch it again, but this time with Kristen. Kara said the movie is even better the second time you watch it, so I'm super excited. Best movie of the year by far! When's the next one coming out!?

Hectic Schedule...

It is definitely clear that this semester is ticking down. I have an extremely hectic schedule these last few weeks of school. This week I had my last Chemistry Lab... YAY!! On Thursday I have an exam for my math class, and then Friday I have a quiz in Anthropology.

Starting the next week, on Tuesday I have a Chemistry quiz and also a Biology exam. Wednesday I have another Chemistry exam. Friday I have an Anthropology exam. Of course that night is also the premiere of Twilight, which I'm so excited for!!!

The week of Thanksgiving, on Monday I have another Anthropology quiz. I have no labs that week, so I get to come home on Tuesday at 11:00... I'm soooo excited!!

Right after I get back from Thanksgiving break, that Monday I have a Biology Lab review because on Tuesday I have my Biology Lab Final. Wednesday I have another Anthropology quiz as well as my Chemistry Lab Final.

The last week of the semester should be a time of celebration, which it is for some. College students on the other hand get to have lovely finals week. I'm dreading it... I have a hard enough time on normal exams, there's no way I'll be able to remember things from the entire semester!! My finals week schedule is pretty nice though. Monday I don't have any tests, Tuesday I have my Biology final, Wednesday I have my Math final, Thursday I have my Chemistry final, and Friday is my Anthropology final. (Luckily because of the crappy scheduled quizzes, if we like our grade in Anthropology we can opt to not take the final and begin our break one day earlier!!) My fall semester will be completely done the day before my birthday, so when it finally comes I can be relieved and care free!!

I'm so excited for this semester to be over, but I can't believe how fast it's gone. Where does the time go?!

Results...

These past two weeks, I've had three exams: Biology, Anthropology, and Chemistry. The first on the list, was the always dreaded Biology exam. I did better then I did on the last one, a 72%. Yay!! WAY better then a 63%!! Our class average was a 73%, Dr. Ewers said that he's never had an average that high since the early 1990's!! In his years of teaching the third exam average has always been his worst exam of all, and this time it actually was BETTER then the second exam. Pretty amazing, I think we deserve a pat on the back. :)

Next on the list was my Anthropology exam. Once again I received a 73% on the exam. However, since I'm a good girl and always go to class, I've accumulated 8 extra credit points so far, and my grade is a 77%. On top of that I did an extra credit assignment worth 10 points. If I receive full points, I will have an 82% in my class!! Our professor is very laid back and very cool in this class. These last few weeks, we have the option to take three quizzes, and after those quizzes, if we like our grade, we can choose to not take the final exam. If you do want to try and improve our grade, we can take the final, but she will only enter the score if it improves our grade, but she won't if it'll hurt it. AWESOME!!!

This morning I got my Chemistry exam back. I got an 80%!! My discussion TA asked if I had improved on this exam, then on my last one. I did by one point. She informed me, that it rarely happens that a student improves their test score on the second exam, it might stay the same, but more than not, it drops! So far, I've had a pretty good day!! Hopefully it keeps going!!

Happy Halloween!!

I decided I didn't have very many pictures of myself on my blog, and since I looked half way decent today, it would be a good time for a picture.

Last night I didn't do anything for Halloween except sit at home, watch a movie, clean my house, and hang out with Kara and the fam for a while. Katelyn and Jacob looked so cute last night. I think they liked my treats I got them. I got each of them a glowstick and a glow necklace, a bag of frooties (which Katelyn said was their favorite candy), some chocolate gold coins, and a giant coloring book. I think it was a hit. They were the only trick-o-treaters that I had, so now I have a TON of candy left over. It wasn't a big deal that nothing exciting happened though because I'm not into the whole halloween thing. I hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!!

Singles Ward...

In Laramie there are three student wards: University 1st, 2nd, and 3rd ward. I'm in the University 2nd ward. My church goes from 1:00-4:00. My bishop is really awesome. His name is Bishop Allen and his first counselor's name is Rocky. They're a lot of fun and really easy going.

The first couples weeks before school started all the students met together at the same time. It was really nice to see how many students there actually were that believe the same things you do. Everyone was really nice and made me feel a lot more comfortable, which is good because I was really nervous. I was the new girl, one of the youngest members, and I hardly knew anyone. It's gotten a lot easier and I actually really love it.

My first week when the University 2nd Ward met, I sat alone. When I went into Relief Society. A girl came up and asked if she could sit by me. She asked my name, and I told her my name was Bethany. She asked where I was from, and I said Lovell. She told me that she had family in Lovell, and when I asked who it was, she said it was Brent Reasch! Well, I was totally shocked. When I told her that was my dad, I think she felt the same way. I asked her what her name was and she said Laura Hatch. (During the summer before I came down to Laramie, Sheraldean told me that Laura was going to be down there and I should try to find her. I didn't know if that would be possible because of how many people attend UW and the Institute.) As we kept talking, she asked where I lived. To make things more interesting, we live on the same block. Both of us live in the Sunchase Condos. It was so crazy that we randomly sat by each other and found out we were related and lived in the same area. It's a small world!!

As I said in an earlier post, I've been called to be a FHE Group Leader. We decided as a council that we would meet together as an entire ward once a month. The first week meeting as a group we played Mafia with a twist. We tied it to the Gadiantan Robbers. Every time someone was killed, they had to read a scripture that explained how they died. The second week, we played General Conference Jeopardy. The third week, we went to the Baker Street Church and played dodgeball. Last week, my group came over to my house, and we watched Singles 2nd Ward. It was a lot of fun. This week, is the week we meet together as an entire ward. We're going to have a Halloween activity.

I'm really glad that I have the Institute because that's where I've met a lot of my friends. If it wasn't for that, I probably wouldn't have met Laura, and we've become pretty good friends. I'm so grateful to be able to have a place I can go and not have to worry about if people will think it's weird that I don't party. It builds my testimony that the church is true no matter where you go. Plus, I go because I want to go, not because my parents expect me to.

My Home Away From Home...

While I'm down here in Laramie, I'm living in an apartment on Mitchell Street, in the Sunchase Condos. It's a really nice place, and I thought it would be cool to take a picture tour of my home for those who haven't gotten to see it. I'm so lucky and grateful for my parents and all they do for me.

Welcome to my home...

FINALLY...

I went home again this weekend and FINALLY got to see Darius and Melissa. I was really sad because everyone said he's grown so much, and I never got to see him when he was even littler. Sad story. I have a lot more pictures, but I have homework and a Biology exam I have to study for, so I'll have to put the rest on later. I had such a great weekend and was so happy I got to see my family again. On Saturday I got my hair cut too!!
