New Obsession.....

Okay, I think obsession may even be a bit of an understatement. I didn't know what I was going to do with myself now that my two favorite book/movie series were coming to an end. Luckily a new series has come around and the movie madness is barely beginning! I absolutely love The Hunger Games series. The books are great and super easy to read. I need to learn to slow down because I've already read the entire series. I had to read them super quick because the movie was released this weekend and I wanted to read the books before I watched the movies.

I'd heard great things about the books, and I most definitely wasn't disappointed! The books were amazing and I couldn't put them down, obviously, since I finished all three books over Spring Break.
The movie came out on Friday, so Kristen, Stephanie, Dani, & I went to the midnight premiere. It was totally worth it. It was a last second decision that we were going to go, and it was only by luck that we got to see it. Kristen came over to hang out and we started talking about the books since we both recently read them, and I said we should go to the midnight showing. We both wanted to go so we asked Dani & Steph if they wanted to go too. I called the theater to ask if any tickets were available still and they told me that 4 had been refunded but they couldn't be reserved over the phone and were on a first-come-fist-served basis. We got into the car, hustled down to the theater, and got the last 4 tickets. Is that lucky or what?!

The movie portrayal was the closest to the book that I've ever seen, obviously there were differences but the the most part it was very similar. Good thing too because there's no way they could change the original and make it any better! It was so good Dani & I were going to go again on Saturday, but it was sold out. The theater has sold out every showing so far, hopefully they have tickets for tomorrow because we're planning on watching it whenever we can get tickets again.
Love, love, love these books and the movie.  I'm excited to have something new to look forward to since my other series are almost over with nothing new to look forward to!

Spring Break 2012.....

I can't believe that Spring Break has already come and gone. This semester is flying by! Only about 6 weeks left in the entire semester. There was nothing overly exciting about my break, but it was nice to relax and spend time with my friends & family!

We headed home on Friday the 9th after I got out of class. It's such a long drive and hate having to go that far, but it's worth it once we get there. It was the first time that we've been to Lovell since Christmas break, which isn't very long ago, but it seems like it's been forever!

It was so nice over the break, so we took advantage of it. On Saturday we spent the day outside cleaning the yard, mowing the lawn, & getting everything ready for Spring.

Sunday night Kara, Jason, and the kids came up to eat dinner. Because I haven't had it in forever, I requested steak, and my parents definitely didn't disappoint!

On Monday, Dani and I went up to Billings so Dani could get her system fixed in her truck. After bumming around and buying things we didn't really need, we headed home and I hung out with Emi and then visited with Michael Montanez for awhile.

Tuesday, I took Emi down to the DMV and her got her learner's permit. So watch out Lovell, Emi is now on the roads... Scary!! Spring Break fell at a good time because Katelyn had 2 Little League basketball games. She is such a doll & I loved watching her and the rest of the team run up and down the court tyring to figure out what was going on.

The rest of the week consisted of me hanging around the house and driving around with Emi at night. Thursday I watched another one of Katelyn's games. Then on Friday I went to visit Katie-Bob and her beautiful baby girl, Harper Quinn! It's been awhile since I've seen her and I loved catching up while holding her precious baby. :) Saturday my parents and I headed back up to Billings to get Dani's system completely fixed.

We headed back on Sunday and am back in the reality of school, which was right here waiting for me to get back. My Spring Break was nothing special or overly exciting, but I look forward to it every year and I love it! Only a few more weeks then I'll be home again for summer (hopefully I can make it that long with the nice weather we've been having lately)!

State basketball was a blast this year. It was great to see my family and get to watch my baby sister win a State Championship her freshman year. I'm so proud of her and Leanne!! Nothing gets better then spending time with family, watching basketball, and eating frozen lemonades. :)
Dani and I headed to Casper Thursday morning so we could be there to watch the boys game. Both the boys and girls won by a huge margin. It was the same story then next night at the semi-finals.

Both the boys and girls were in the championship this year. The girls played first, and beat Thermop 54-22 to bring home back-to-back State Championships.
I'm sad I wasn't there to get to "honk" the girls in when the rode the firetruck into town when they got back Sunday afternoon. It was always one of my favorite parts of State and it's been such a long time since I've done that.
The boys played the last game of the night. It was a close game, but sadly, the Chiefs won by 11.

It was a great season for both teams and I loved watching them play both at the tournament and during the season on the Internet. Congratulations Lady Dogs on bringing home the 'Ship! I'm so proud of you baby sister, love you bunches!! :)
