Dinnertime.....

To celebrate the last day of classes, Dani & I went with some of my friends from my pharmacy class to eat dinner last night. A few of them went to dinner during Easter weekend, but since there were some of us who went home for Easter we wanted to do it once more before we left for the summer. We went to an Italian restaurant called Luciano's. I wasn't all that impressed with the food. I know that I'm picky, but it wasn't just me who felt that way so it wasn't just me and that made me feel better.

It was really fun to hang out with my friends some more outside of class. It was a little awkward to talk to everybody because they had to sit us at two separate tables because of the size of our group. We had a great time even being less than impressed with the actual food.

The Laramie weather wasn't very nice to us. It started snowing when we first got there to eat and we had to run back to our cars since the wind was blowing hard (That's why some of my pictures look the way they do!!). It was a great time and I loved hanging out with everyone when we weren't stressed out about studying for probably the last time this semester.
The semester is coming to an end fast. It's going to be stressful and super busy this next week, so I'm enjoying my free time while I still can!!

P-Wonders.....

Throughout the school year, our pharmacy class has gotten some teams together for intramural sports. I haven't done any of them, until these last few weeks. I was on our P-Wonders volleyball team. It was a lot of fun. I have some great friends in my pharmacy class, and we have a blast. We needed another girl on the team, so Dani played with us too! We had 4 guys & 4 girls on our team: Ben, Devan, Miles (a.k.a Papa Rooney), Landon, Stephanie, Megan, Dani, & me.
We did pretty good, considering that some of those people who signed up to play haven't ever played before. It was in means a pretty game ever, we were pretty sloppy but somehow still got it done.

We went into tournament play and made it to the semi-finals. We had an off game and lost, but we shouldn't have. It was a hard loss so we are no longer playing because it's a single-elimination tournament. I'm actually really sad that it's over, it was so much fun to play with our team. We plan to come back next year as the P2-Hot-to-Handles, we'll come back with a vengeance, and we'll dominate!!

*Side Note: I had nothing to do with our team names, all the credit goes to Papa Rooney!

Mission Complete.....

Over Easter Break our slumber party mission was complete! It was a ton of fun, and the kiddos had a great time. Dani & I got into Lovell Thursday night around 5:45, with just enough time to get all our stuff inside, talk to the family, order some pizza, go pick up Katelyn & Jacob, and finally pick up the pizza. Then it was time for the party to start!
We started off the night eating some of the best pizza-from Pizza on the Run of course!! After our feast, we headed down to the family room to get everything set up. We didn't want to make the kids sleep on the floor because it's not the most comfortable in the world (also so Dani & I didn't have to sleep on the ground either), so we set up the air mattress for them, and Dani & I slept on the couch. Jake thought the bed was the coolest thing in the world!
We planned on having a movie-fest. To start off the night, we watched Megamind. After that movie was over, the next on the list was Despicable Me. For this movie, everyone came down to watch: Grandma Shelly, Grandpa Brent, & Aunt Emi. After the movie was over, it was pretty late so Kate & Jake went to bed (since it was around 11:00).

The day started pretty early on Friday, at 7:30. Kara & Jason went to Cody to get some shopping done so the kids hung out with us. :) We made some breakfast, played an exciting game of doll house, watched Tangled, cleaned up the family room & toy room, and finished off the day playing some Play Station.

It was a great Slumber Party, & the kids were really excited to "get back on the sleep over schedule." I think we have a new tradition that we'll be expected to keep up!!

Don't Forget Your Pillow Pet......

I sure do miss Katelyn & Jacob when I'm down here at school, especially our exciting slumber parties!! Dani & I were going to have the kids up to the house for a sleepover during Spring Break, but it didn't work out on the days that Katelyn didn't have school.

Since our plans got shot down the last time, we decided that it was still going to happen but over Easter Break instead. To ensure that our plans wouldn't fall through, we got really professional & sent them invitations in the mail. There was an invitation, a calendar that showed when the Slumber Party is so they can't count down to it, & a ticket to bring to be "admitted into the party", it's a very exclusive event!!
I'm super excited to do have another sleepover, especially with the new editions: Aunt Dani & Emi!! We don't usually get lots of  sleep (at least I don't) when they come, but that's what's so fun about the whole thing. We're going to watch movies, eat popcorn & snacks, play games, have fun, & of course go to sleep in the family room. I sure hope these next few weeks go by quick so we can have our party that's been in the works for quite a while now!

Join in the Celebration.....

We are finally having our Relief Society birthday party. We're a little late having this activity because of Spring Break, General Conference this weekend, and Stake Conference next weekend. It's going to be a lot of fun and I can't wait. Our theme is "Be Your Own Kind of Beautiful."
My presidency thought it would be a great theme because sometimes we are so focused on what other people think about us and we don't think about what's really important. We're going to keep it simple and not go too long since it's the end of the semester and everyone is really busy. When we first get there we're going to have some breakfast foods since we're doing it in the morning. After we eat we've asked Bishop Killpack's wife, Allison, to speak to us. She's such a fun lady who loves us a lot and is great at speaking. We sure do love and appreciate the bishopric's wives in our ward!

My presidency is going to sing "Beautiful to Him" by Rachel Thibodeau to end the activity. The rest of the time we're going to talk and just spent time together. It's going to be a lot of fun. I'm so grateful for the Relief Society program and the great girls that I have in my ward. I've been so blessed to serve these wonderful sisters as the president.
