Stake Conference.....

The reason I came back to Laramie Saturday was because Stake Conference was on Sunday. I was not going to miss the meeting because Elder Quentin L. Cook came to visit our stake. Elder Maury Schooff, a member of one of the Quorum of the Seventy, accompanied him. It was an excellent meeting. President Dory, the stake president, spoke first. He was followed Elder Buss, one of his councilors. There were a couple of students who were asked to bear their testimonies after those talks were finished. The second half of the meeting were taken up by the talks of Elder Schooff, Sister Cook, and lastly Elder Cook was the concluding speaker.

Not only did I get to hear Elder Cook speak, but I got to sit right behind him. President Dory had asked the Singles Ward sisters to sing during conference. We got to sing songs for prelude about a half hour before the meeting started, and we also sang during the meeting.

The entire meeting fit together so perfectly. To start out everyone sang "Come Listen To A Prophets Voice". President Dory talked about families, missionary work, and how Heavenly Father loves everyone. After his talk was through our choir sang "Lord I Would Follow Me". President Buss spoke on burdens and how Christ is a peacemaker; he also talked about how through prayer and charity we can have peace even in times of trials. The congregation then sang "Improve the Shining Moments". Elder Schooff was the next speaker and he spoke on prayer. He spoke on how we need to have a prayer in our heart and also to show our gratitude for all those blessings we have in life. Sister Cook spoke next on Family Home Evening and also on songs as being another method of prayer. Elder Cook spoke on quite a few topics. He first taught on strengthening families, by choosing righteousness we have peace as a reward, lastly he spoke on how we have make choices everyday and how they will affect us now and our future. To close the meeting we sang "We Thank Thee, O God, For A Prophet".
Be
I'm so glad that I chose to come home early so I could attend Stake Conference. It was totally worth it, and I would have missed out on a great deal if I had chose to stay home for one my day. I feel very honored to have gotten to be in the presence of an apostle and hear all of the powerful and great talks.

Spring Break '10.....

Spring Break was a lot of fun! It was so nice to get away from school and Laramie for awhile. I had a lot to do over Spring Break for pharmacy school, my technician license, and my car needed somethings taken care of on it.

I left for Lovell Friday 12th after Physiology & O. Chem. I got into Lovell around 4:30 and spent the rest of the night hanging out with the family.

Saturday night I hung out with Michael Montanez and Sunday we all went to church. Other then that I just relaxed and Monday I did the same thing. Tuesday morning I got my blood test to prove I was immune to the chicken pox and also to get a tuberculosis skin test to get the rest of the immunizations that are required for pharmacy school. After I came back I helped my mom clean the yard and later that night Danielle had a concert that we went to.

My dad had Wednesday off from work, so my dad and I went up to Billings for the day to go shopping. Before we left, I took my car to Mays Brothers to get it all fixed. It was a lot of fun to spend time together just the two of us :) Later that night my sisters went to mutual and my parents both had meetings. After driving around for awhile, Michael Bernard came down from Powell so we could see each other. We ate at Blimpies and then went to Jordan Peterson's house and hung out there for the rest of the night.

Thursday I had to go back up to the hospital so I could get my results from my tests. After I got back to my house I got ready, I went and got fingerprinted and did the other things that needed to get done for my tech license. Then I went down to the Drug Store to help my dad for the rest of the afternoon.

Friday I slept in, then later that afternoon I updated my dad's book that he uses at the store. That night Danielle, Emilee, Kaia, and I watched Post Grad at the house. I headed back to Laramie Saturday afternoon.
Nothing too exciting about my Spring Break, but I loved it. I love to see my family and I wouldn't trade it for the world!

State Basketball....

I got to go state basketball this past weekend, and it was a lot of fun! It was great to see my family again & get away from Laramie and schoolwork for a few days. :) So I could spend some more time with my family I decided to skip class last Friday and head to Casper Thursday night after I got out of lab. It's a good thing I decided to do that because it snowed A LOT on Friday & I wouldn't have been able to make it if I had waited!!

Thursday I got to Casper around 4:00, the family watched basketball really late (around 11:00). It was the same way Friday & Saturday as well. Both the 2A championship games ended in an upset. Both 2A games had an undefeated teams that lost to the team that was ranked 2nd in the state. Wow, I guess you'll never know what will happen down at State! It was a lot of fun to hang out with the family, and there were a lot of good basketball games we watched! I love watching basketball games, except for the fact that it makes me miss playing especially high school basketball.

After the championship games, we watched Alvin and the Chipmunks The Squeakwal! But the fun couldn't last forever, I headed back to Laramie Sunday afternoon after eating breakfast at JB's with the fam! It was a really fun weekend, but it went by way too fast (even with an extra day)!! I can't wait for State Basketball next year :)....

I get to head to Lovell on Friday because it's already time for Spring Break! I'm so excited to get to relax for a week (well except for having to study, get some immunizations for Pharmacy School, and get my car fixed). This whole week before Spring Break I didn't have anything I had to do for class other than write a lab report for my O.Chem lab! It's been a great two weeks & can't wait for Spring Break to get here! Lovell... Here I Come :D!!

Letter....

Today was the day I found out if I was accepted into Pharmacy School for the Fall 2010 Semester. At my interview they said emails would be sent out on the 1st of March. After getting home from school, I checked my email at 11:00...Nothing! I called the school to make sure they truly were being sent out today, and I was informed they were later in the afternoon.

Anxiously I waited until 1:00 to check my email... Nothing. 1:30.... Nothing! 2:00.... Nothing! 2:30.... Nothing! 3:00.... Still Nothing!! Finally at 3:30 I got the email I've been waiting for anxiously, whether good for bad!

I have been informed that I have been... ACCEPTED to the Pharmacy School for the Fall 2010 semester! Once this semester is over and I pass my classes with a 'C' or better, I will officially be in the 2014 Graduating Class from the UW School of Pharmacy!

I am so excited, I have been jumping up and down ever since I found out! I actually cried I was so happy (I'm such a girl!!)! This just made my entire day... I couldn't be happier right now!! Only 4 more years of school & I will be graduated with the degree that I've wanted since I've been a little girl!!!!
