The End Is In Sight.....

Today was officially my last day of classes for this semester! I've been so busy with tests this week and finals next week, it doesn't seem like school is ending. What happened to taking it easy & just watching movies to end the year on a good note?!

Today at school it was just another day of classes. In Physiology we met to go over the test answers that we took on Wednesday night. Organic Chemistry was just another lecture. In Med Micro I took a make up test. Afterwards I went to look at my exam results to find out how I did on the test. Let's just say it wasn't my worst test score ever but definitely not even close to my best. Later tonight at 4:10 I had a review for Organic that lasted almost 2 & 1/2 hours!

Finals are all that I have left. Monday morning at 10:15 I have my Med Micro final, which I can't wait for it to be over, it's been one of the toughest classes (possibly tied with Organic Chemistry II) I've ever taken.

I'm passing my Physiology class, & I'm satisfied with my grade so I don't have to take that final which would have been Wednesday morning. Since I'm not taking my Wednesday final, I don't have my last final until Friday morning at 7:30 (It was suppose to start at 8, but Dr. Corcoran is letting us have an extra half hour. We can't go later then the scheduled time but we can go earlier since it's the first exam of the day).

After my Friday morning final, I'm done with this semester full of stress, anxiety, and many near tear experiences! I'm having mixed emotions about it, I want next week to be here but I also don't feel prepared for my tests, I'm extremely nervous about my finals! Next Friday is going to be a GREAT day after it's all over.

April Showers.....

Bring May Flowers?! When I first heard this little saying I had no idea they meant this type of shower....

A snow shower isn't exactly what I had in mind! You have to love Wyoming weather, or should I say Laramie weather: 60 Degrees one day to this much snow the next, AWESOME! Now today the sun is shining, blue skies, without a dark cloud in sight... I just hate how unpredictable the weather is here. So much for being able to put away all my winter clothes & pulling out my shorts, capris, and flip-flops! It looks like I'll be needing to wear coats for at least a couple more days.

Oh well, maybe someday I'll truly be able to say it's spring time here in Laramie, just not today!

On The Countdown....

Well the end of the semester is just around the corner, & I'm counting down the days until it's over. There's only two weeks of classes and then finals. Hopefully the time will go fast, which I'm sure it will because it's going to be busy, busy, busy.

This next week I have two tests and a lab practical. Tuesday morning I have a Med Micro test, Wednesday I have an O. Chem test, and Thursday I have my last Med Micro Lab Practical.

The following week I have an O. Chem Lab Final on Wednesday at 5:00 and a Physiology exam right after that at 7:30. Friday I have a make up exam for Med Micro because I didn't do as good as I wanted on my second exam.

My schedule for finals isn't too bad, but it's going to be very busy. I have a final Monday morning (for Med Micro), Wednesday morning (for Physiology- hopefully I won't have to take it if I'm satisfied with my grade on my third exam!), and Friday morning (for O. Chem).

Summer vacation is coming fast, this semester has just flown by. I can't believe I'm going to be done with my entire 2nd year of college!

This has nothing to do with my post, but I took some pictures today & I liked them so I wanted to put them on here! :D My hair is getting long again, I need to get another hair cut.

My First......

Concert that I've ever been to!! Last night I went to the Rodney Atkins Concert and it was AMAZING... I loved every minute of it. He is so good live, what an amazing voice he has! There were so many people there & the whole concert was sold out.

The concert started at 8:00 and went until 10:45! My friend Jessica & I went together. We were on the floor with end seats, which was really nice because it was absolutely crowded in the auditorium. It took place right on campus in the Arts & Science Building.

Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band was the opening act, & they were amazing as well. I didn't know a lot of their songs, but they were great and very talented. They tour all around and perform, and they'll actually be back in Laramie next week. One of the members of the band is actually a student at UW and the majority of the members of the band are from Wyoming. They portion of the concert went from 8-8:45.

The pictures are really blurry because I had to turn the flash off or they were too dark.

This is a short video of one of their songs.

It took a while to get everything set up for the main event that began at 9:15.

Rodney Atkins opened his section with "It's America." One of my favorite songs by him! The lights, performance, and the entire show was excellent! Toward the end of the concert he sang "I've Been Watching You Dad" which is my other favorite song by him, and the final number was "These Are My People." We cheered long & hard enough after he left the stage that he came out and gave an encore, singing "If You're Going Through Hell" which is my third favorite song by him! I didn't think I knew as many songs by him as I did.

These pictures are a little better, still a little dark but at least in focus

It's sideways because I turned my camera and now I can't rotate it.

Before we left the members of the Chancey Williams and the Younger Brothers Band were standing out in the lobby, and Jessica took a picture with them.

The entire show was excellent. It was so loud in there with all the screaming & cheering and the music was way loud when they were performing. I couldn't hear after it was over, my ears were ringing & felt like they needed to pop. There were tons of people who were swing dancing in the isles. I had a blast at my first concert & can't wait for another one! This one will be tough to beat though, it was the best!!

Luau Part II......

Kristen & I decided to make our Luau party a tradition before our May finals. This year though our last two weeks of class before finals are super busy, so it was best to do it this week because neither of us had too much to do. Last night was the night of our new founded tradition!

We drank Sparkling Cider, Ginger Ale, & Strawberry Crush. Neither of us had eaten anything all day long so we also ordered some Godfather's Pizza, and it was delicious!!

We wanted some more decorations then we had last year because it was pretty bland, but it was a little hard to buy a lot last year because Walmart's stuff was a little expensive for what we wanted to use it for. This year we checked out the Dollar Tree & we hit the jackpot! Our party was much more festive, decorated, & looked much cooler than last year's party.

It was lots of fun, taking pictures, laughing, & just taking a break from school!!
