Christmas Time.....

I love Christmas time, it's my favorite time of the year! A couple of my favorite things about Christmas are the lights and the tree! I love how pretty everything is decorated & the Christmas lights that so many people put up.

I was going to get my own Christmas tree for my house in Laramie, but the last few weeks were too stressful & busy so I wasn't able to get one. I'll just have to wait until next year to get to decorate my own house & tree.

I love the tree that's in my house in Lovell, it's so beautiful. It's not a real tree, but I personally like those better because they aren't as messy and you get can get them to look exactly how you want them! Sadly, I wasn't able to help decorate it this year because of finals, but it was so fun to come home to Lovell from Laramie and see the tree up & decorated because it made it finally feel like Christmas to me.

I'm so excited for Christmas & Christmas Eve, and it has been so fun helping my parents get everything ready for Christmas. I actually like Christmas even more now that I'm helping get everything ready instead of just waiting for all of it to be done to enjoy it; getting ready is half the fun. I love the Christmas holidays and the spirit it brings!!

One More Down.....

Well I am officially done with another semester of college. I had 4 finals last week and I am so glad that the week is over! Now I am home in Lovell & able to relax from schoolwork for an entire month, and I couldn't be more excited. :)

During finals week I had 2 finals Tuesday, 1 Wednesday, and then my last was on Friday. Tuesday I had my Human Anatomy final at 8:00 and then my Calculus final at 3:30, Wednesday my Organic Chemistry final was at 7:30 in the morning, and Friday my Statistics final was at 1:15. Thursday morning I had to proctor the General Chemistry exam at 8:00 in the morning and then grade immediately afterward.

Wednesday afternoon I went to lunch with my cousin Laura Hatch, who has become one of my best friends down in Laramie. It was fun but sad at the same time because this was Laura's last semester in Laramie, she has to go to Green River to finish her student teaching. I'm so glad we got to be such good friends but now I'm very sad that she has to leave.

Later Wednesday night, Mikey and I went to watch Old Dogs at the theatre. It was pretty fun because we were they only two in the theatre & the movie was great! We also listened to Christmas music and tried to put together 1000 piece puzzle, NOT EASY! We only got the boarder done before I decided to call it quits.

Thursday night Kristen Scheffler came to my house so we could hang out before I came home for the break. It's crazy we haven't seen each other most of the semester except maybe once or twice because of our busy schedules! It was a lot of fun, eating pizza & popcorn, and watching a movie. It wasn't quite the luau we had last semester, but it was still a lot of fun! It was great seeing all my friends before I went home for Christmas break, and it was also nice to break up my studying!!

Friday after my exam I got all my stuff packed, cleaned my house, and went to bed. I woke up Saturday morning, went to breakfast with Mikey, and then headed to Lovell at 10:00. Now I'm home in Lovell and it has been fun already. My sisters & I went to watch New Moon (it was mine and Kara's 3rd time, Emi's 4th time, & Dani's 2nd time [except she slept through it the first time]!).

It's already been a nice break, and it's only beginning!

On The Road Again.....

So tomorrow I finally get to go home to Lovell for Thanksgiving. I miss my my family, my home when I'm away, and my mom's delicious cooking! I'm so excited to get to eat all the yummy Thanksgiving food!!

I have an exam at 8 in the morning for Human Anatomy, and then I'm going to be skipping Calculus so I can get to Lovell before dark! It's so nice to be able to go to Lovell, spend time with my family, and not have to turn around and come back two days later. I'll be headed to Lovell between 9 & 9:30 and drive for 6 hours! YUCK, but it's totally worth it to get to go home! It's snowing a little here again in Laramie, but that's to be expected with the lovely weather here, and that just gives me another good reason to skip math and come home earlier!

The day is going to go quickly because of course I have an exam tonight, I'll get home and pack, then study for my other exam, go to bed, then take my exam tomorrow morning, and then LOVELL HERE I COME! I can't wait to see my family!!

It's Finally Time....

Tonight I am going to the midnight premier of New Moon; I am super excited! I have been waiting for this to come out for a long time. Even though I'm going to be very tired tomorrow at school it's totally worth it. Who knew that books & movies about vampires would be get me so excited?!
Luckily everything worked out with my school work and I don't have anything that's due tomorrow, I had 2 exams yesterday, got registered for my classes next semester, one exam Monday, one Tuesday, and I don't have any homework due until Monday, so I don't have anything to worry about for tomorrow, THANK GOODNESS!

Walking In A Winter Wonderland....

Well It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas & we're Walking In A Winter Wonderland here in Laramie. I guess the weather doesn't realize that it's over a month early! It started snowing two nights ago late and snowed all day yesterday. The sun came out at the end of the day yesterday and melted a bit of the snow. Now today, it's been snowing all day long! Luckily it's not too cold because the wind isn't blowing. I love the snow, if only it didn't make driving miserable. If it could snow everywhere except the roads, snow would be just fine!

Last year, the winter here in Laramie wasn't too bad. It looks like it's making up for it already... it makes me a little nervous to see what the winter is going to look like if it's snowing this much already! Hopefully it doesn't get too bad as everyone says it does, but we'll see!

The snow does get me excited for Christmas because there's nothing like a white Christmas.... Only a week until Thanksgiving, two weeks after that until my birthday, and twelve days after that until Christmas! WOW, this semester & entire year has gone by so fast!

Not Much Going On.....

Well I don't have too much going on right now...just school, homework, exams, and then I get to start all over again!

Two weeks ago Matt Koritnik, Kayla Green, and I headed to Lander for our sister's regional volleyball. The Lady Bulldogs did very well taking 2nd place at regionals, losing to Rocky in the Championship.

After getting back to Laramie and into my school routine, we had a BIG snow storm. Tuesday within about 2 hours it snowed about 3-4 inches! Laramie was supposed to get about 2 feet of snow in two days, but luckily we didn't get quite that much. I was really bumbed because all the roads were closed & I didn't think I'd make it Casper for State... as luck would have it the roads opened up Thursday after my classes, so Matt & I took off for Casper and skipped class on Friday because the roads were not in good enough condition to make a trip back to Laramie that night.

It was nice to have a long weekend with my family & watch Dani play her last year of volleyball! Well, she is quite the stud & and did awesome! Lovell placed 4th, the only team from the West to place at the state tournament!

With these 2 breaks, there's only 2 and 1/2 weeks until Thanksgiving vacation, after Thanksgiving break I'll have 1 more week of classes & then Finals are the following week!! The semester is almost over & I'm so excited!! For now though it's a lot of homework, pretty much the same routine every day, and not much to do in good 'ole Laramie! But the end is coming quick, so I can handle it for a few more weeks!

YAY for BABY....

I'm soo excited!! Kara had her baby today. She had a baby boy and he weighed 8 lbs 5 oz. His name is Dallin Lee Bischoff, he's one handsome little boy & I'm so happy he's finally here! Congratulations Kara & Jason! I can't wait to get to see this handsome little addition to the family!

Lots of Work....

During the school week, I have so much homework. All I do is go to school, come home & do homework, go to bed, and then wake up & do the same thing all over again. It's not too bad though because it makes the time go much faster.

Exams have started in the past few weeks, and starting next week I have an exam at least once a week. I can't believe how fast this semester is going though, it's already October & I've already been in school for 6 weeks and there's only 10 more weeks left!! I can't believe how fast time flies!!!

I'm doing pretty well in all my classes so far, hopefully it keeps going that way. I got a B on my Organic Chemistry exam, an A on my Calculus exam, an A on my Statistics exam, and a C on my Human Anatomy exam.

Last weekend, I got to go home to Lovell because this week I didn't have any exams, one of the only 2 weeks this semester that I don't have any exams. I was so excited to see my family, I got to see everyone. Luckily, I went home because on Wednesday Melissa & her family moved to Phoenix. I got to watch both Dani & Emi play volleyball, and they did so awesome! I'm sad I don't get to watch them play more because it's so much fun. Katelyn, Jacob, and Darius look so much older. Laramie is different now that Kara & Jason moved to Lovell.

The next time I'll get to see my family is probably at Halloween in Casper when Dani is playing at state volleyball. Maybe possibly for regional volleyball, depending on my schedule & when Dani's games are. Hopefully everything works out & I can get down there. School is keeping me busy, busy, busy. Before I know it the semester is going to be over!

On top of going to class, being a TA, & homework, I also get to apply for pharmacy school! My application is due on December 1st!! I have to take my PCAT exam October 17th, it's coming up quick! I can't believe it's already that time to be applying for pharmacy school. If I get accepted the first time I'll start next fall and be done in 4 years! I'm so excited & hope everything works out!!!!

Labor Day Weekend....

This weekend, Melissa, Derek, and Darius came down to Laramie because Derek was going to play in the UW Alumni Game on Saturday. I had a lot of fun while she was here!! They got here Thursday night after I got out of school at 3:00. We bumbed around the house after they got here, made dinner, & watched a movie later that night. Nothing too exciting happened because I had school the next morning.

Friday I left for school at 8:00 & didn't get done until 5:00 because I had a 4 hour safety training I had to attend in order for me to be a TA. I went straight from the Classroom Building to the Arena Auditorium, where Derek was having a 3-Point Shootout. Derek did good & it was a lot of fun to watch (I got to play with Darius the whole time too). After the shootout was over, Derek wanted to stay to play a pick-up game with some of the other Alumni, so Melissa, Darius, & I went to eat at Godfather's Pizza. It was Yummy!!!! By the time dinner was over I was ready to be home!! Melissa dropped me off at home & was off to the Ark, where her and Darius went to visited some people she used to work with. The rest of the night was spent being lazy.

Saturday was the first UW Football game vs. Weber State at 1:00. Darius only lasted until half-time, so Melissa ended up taking him home to nap before Derek's basketball game. Boy was it Hot at the game. The temperature was only about 76 degrees, but if felt way warmer. I got a pretty bad sunburn, & now I have an awesome line from where my shirt sleeve ended!! UW won 29-15 (which made it totally worth it to bear the heat)!! After the game, I went back to the house, picked Melissa & Darius up, then headed to Derek's game. Derek's team did well, they led the entire game until the end. They ended up losing 101-105! It was a nail-biter to the end!! Everyone seemed to have a lot of fun, especially Derek & he did really good! While Derek & the rest of the Alumni stayed at the gym to sign autographs, Melissa, Darius, Stacy, Dana, Jake, Stacy's friend Jen, & I went to eat at Corona Village. I have to say I wasn't too impressed, but everyone else was. It didn't help that I wasn't very hungry, so maybe I'll have to give it another try!! After we got home, I babysat Darius so Melissa & Derek could go out on a much needed date.

Melissa's family went home this morning while I was gone to church (my church starts at 9:00). It's sad that they had to go home because I had so much fun seeing them. I'm glad they came down this weekend to see me, I had a Blast!!

Fun's Over....

Well summer vacation has come & gone! I am now starting my sophomore year in college. This is going to be an extremely busy semester (I can tell already)!! On top of taking some very difficult classes this semester (Calculus, Statistics, Organic Chemistry I, & Human Anatomy) I am also a Chemistry 1020 TA, which means that I have to teach a Chemistry Discussion & Lab Section.

When Carla Beckett asked me last Wednesday (8/19...4 days before school started) if I'd be interested, it didn't sound too difficult so I told her I could handle it. Well, she didn't tell me that on top of teaching a discussion & lab, I also have to have an hour of office hours, an hour of Tutorial hours, attend weekly meetings (every Thursday), plus I have to go to a 4 hour safety training & another 1 hour safety training, attend the student safety training (which I have to teach part of), grade all the assignments from both lab & discussion, & proctor exams throughout the semester & grade them afterward. WOW, a little more time consuming than I thought, but it will be fun. Even though it makes me really nervous to get up & teach students who are only a year younger than me (some are older than me as well), I'm really enjoying it. Not only do I get paid to teach, but it will also look good on my application for pharmacy school :) !!!

This week I already have homework assignments in 3 of my 4 classes (Human Anatomy, Statistics, & 2 assignments in Calculus). Labs haven't even started yet, so when they start next week it'll be even more time consuming.

Even though it's going to be a lot of work, I'm really happy to get going & get into the grove of school again. I still have plenty of down time, which I use to study. This school year is going to be busy, busy, busy, but it's worth it. I really like all of my teachers they are excellent so far & are really nice. I'm sure as the year goes on I'm going to have to remind myself of this post (saying how happy I am about my busy schedule). Here's hoping for a fun semester!!

Happy Birthday Kara!....

Today is my beautiful sister Kara's birthday!! I'm so grateful for everything that she's done for me & what a great sister she is. She is a great sister, mother, wife, daughter, & friend. She cares so much for everyone & is so talented in many ways. I'm very blessed to have a sister like her.

Because of her my first year of college was much easier & a lot more fun. It made the transition much easier. I don't know what I would have done without her & her family there. She is so kind, nice, & understanding. She's so sweet to everyone!!

Thanks Kara for everything you do for me & for everyone else!! I Love You Soooooo Much!!!! Happy Birthday! I Hope You're Day Is GREAT!!!

Where Has The Time Gone.....

I cannot believe that the summer is almost over!! In one week from Friday I will be heading back to Laramie... The summer has gone much too fast. Wow how time flies!

This summer I've mostly worked at the Drug Store & hung out with friends & family. Nothing overly exciting, but it was nice to be home for a few months. It was a nice break. Although summer has gone much too fast, I'm excited to get back down to Laramie and get started with school again. The sooner it starts, the sooner I can get done.

I have also had lots of studying to do this summer & other things to fill out for school. I have to study for both my pharmacy-tech test & PCAT test. I also had to fill out the majority of my pharmacy application this summer because it is soo time consuming that it would be very difficult to do during the school year when I'm busy studying for all the tough classes I have this semester. I can't believe that it's already time for me to apply for pharmacy school (WOW, CRAZY!!)

I've really enjoyed my summer & being able to be with my family for this fun summer full of great memories!! :)

Las Vegas, Nevada....

WARNING: LONG POST

For our family vacation this year, we went to Las Vegas. It was so much fun!! On Monday July 27th we flew from Billings to Salt Lake & then onto Las Vegas. Holy cow talk about a different world. I have never seen so many taxi cabs in my life (not even when I went to New York City).

Monday....
We got into Vegas around 2:00 in the afternoon Vegas time (3:00 in Lovell). The airport is crazy and so big we had to get on trams and shuttles just to get our luggage and rental car. Luckily our car came with GPS or else there was no way we would have been able to find our way around. We didn't really do much, except drive up and down The Strip seeing all the cool buildings. For the rest of the day we were lazy at the hotel, drove down the strip again at night, and went swimming after we got back to the hotel.

Tuesday....
After eating breakfast and getting ready, the family headed to the Mandalay Bay to see what parking was like and also to pick up our tickets for The Lion King. We walked into the casino and then through different shops that were in the bottom of the different hotels. We thought it would be fun to go Madame Tussauds Wax Museum. Since traffic & parking in Vegas is a nightmare, we decided to walk down the strip. We didn't quite realize how far the Wax Museum actually was and how hot it was to walk outside (I think it was around 115 degrees). We finally made it and it was soooo much fun. We decided against walking back to our car in the blistering heat & instead decided to catch a cab back to where our car was parked. After getting back to our car we headed back to our hotel where we rested up, got ready, & went to watch The Lion King that was in the Mandalay Bay Hotel Theatre.

Wow!! The Lion King was absolutely amazing. I never thought Broadway was that cool until I went to New York & had the privilege of seeing 2 Broadway plays. From that moment on I think Broadway is one of my favorite things ever. This is the second time I watched The Lion King and it was so amazing. I can't even imagine all the hard work and dedication it takes to make that production as perfect and flawless as it was. It absolutely blows my mind!!! We sat in the 2nd row, so we were able to see all the cast up close!!
Wednesday....
In the morning, we set off to see the Las Vegas Temple. The houses that were on the way to the temple were beautiful, but the yards not so much. Nobody had any plants or grass with the exception of cactus plants, some palm trees, & rocks. When you reached the temple however, the temple grounds were BEAUTIFUL!! The lawn was so green and well kept. Real flowers were in the flower beds. What a difference!!! The Las Vegas Temple is absolutely gorgeous & it stands out from everything around it.

After walking around the temple grounds, we went shopping at one of the outlet malls to pass some time. The heat made everyone really tired so we went back to the hotel to relax. Later that night we went to a show called Legends at Harrahs (one of the hotels on the strip). There were impersonators of Dolly Parton, James Brown, David Bowie, Brittney Spears, The Temptations, and Elvis. That was such a fun show, and we were really close to the stage (3rd row).

Thursday....
Before we headed to the airport to go home, we went back to the shops to pick up some souvenirs for us. I got a poker set that has Las Vegas wrtten on the chips & playing cards. I thought that was a pretty appropriate souvenir considering where we took our vacation & what it's famous for. :) We also had to go back to Harrahs so Dani could pick up a shirt she wanted to get.

Around 2:00 we headed to the airport to head home. Our plane was suppose to leave Vegas at 4:20 but was delayed until 4:50. Which wasn't a big deal except when we finally did get onto the plane we kept getting delayed even further and ended up leaving an hour later then we were supposed to. We missed our connection to Billings by 5 minutes. Luckily, there was another plane heading to Billings a few hours later & there was enough room for all of us to have seats. By the time we got into Billings, got our luggage, and finally got home to Lovell it was almost 2 in the morning!! It was a very long trip, but it was so much fun!!!!
Thank You soo much Mom & Dad for taking us on such a fun family vacation and giving us such a great experience! I had such a great time, saw a lot of fun things, & made some great memories. I Love You Both Very Very Much!!!
