Christmas Break (Part 1).....

Christmas break has just flown by partly because it been very busy & a lot of fun but also because time just always seems to fly by. After watching New Moon Saturday night with my sisters, my birthday was on Sunday the 13th. I had a great birthday & was so excited to be with my family and not have any schoolwork to worry about. It was a very laid back day. My family and I went to church, then later in the day Kara and her family came up to eat dinner. While we were waiting for dinner to cook, I opened some of my presents. It seemed like I really wanted to drag out my celebration because I waited to open my final present until after dinner and of course who can forget the cake & ice cream we ate afterward. What a great day & how crazy it is to think that I am 20!!

The week after my birthday I spent relaxing and hanging out at the house because I was in desperate need of some recuperation after my rough finals week.

Tuesday night, Katelyn had her Christmas program for school so we all went to watch her do that. The songs she did were so cute, and she was overly excited that everyone came to watch her preform. (We had to sit clear in the back at the Hyart, so it was really hard to see the stage & sadly I wasn't able to get any pictures of beautiful Katelyn that night.)

On Wednesday I spent the day hanging out with Katie at her house and we made a stop at the VIP preschool so we could watch Jacob's short Christmas program. After the show Katie & I went to eat lunch at the Switchback and went back to her house afterwards to watch a movie.

Saturday the 19th, my mom, dad, Dani, Emi, and I all headed up to Billings to finish up our Christmas shopping.

Sunday evening after going to church and eating dinner we went to watch the Stake Christmas Concert because my mom was singing in the choir. I loved the music & I also loved getting to hold Dallin during the concert.

Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday was spent helping my mom clean the house, wrapping presents, and helping get everything ready for Christmas Eve and Christmas day.

Christmas Eve was great this year. Kara & her family joined my family at our house for dinner and a Christmas Family Home Evening. It was an exciting evening that was filled with songs, stories, games, and the Christmas spirit could be felt all night long. One of my favorite parts of the program was when Katelyn and Jacob dressed up as Mary & Joseph and Dallin was the baby Jesus. They stood there while Jason read the account of the Savior's birth out of the scriptures.

Later that night after Kara's family went home, Dani, Emi, and I got to open a present before we went to bed that night. We all got matching t-shirts & shorts to wear for bed (since none of us usually wear real pajamas) and of course we had to have a photo shoot before heading to bed.

Christmas day, we got to sleep in a little bit. Not as much as I wanted, but more then we used to when Emi was younger. My dad came to wake me up around 7:30 because Emi was ready to go and see what Santa brought us! After opening presents and eating a late breakfast, the rest of the day was spend hanging around the house & playing Band Hero. Later that night we all went over to Kara's house to see what the kid's had gotten for Christmas. Each thing was brought out 1 by 1 to make sure that we didn't miss anything Kate & Jake got :). After spending some time at their house, the party shifted up to the Reasch household so Kara could see all our "toys" that we got.

The preparation for Christmas & Christmas day was crazy, but it was great. I really appreciate everything my mom & dad do to make Christmas as special as it is every year.

Christmas Time.....

I love Christmas time, it's my favorite time of the year! A couple of my favorite things about Christmas are the lights and the tree! I love how pretty everything is decorated & the Christmas lights that so many people put up.

I was going to get my own Christmas tree for my house in Laramie, but the last few weeks were too stressful & busy so I wasn't able to get one. I'll just have to wait until next year to get to decorate my own house & tree.

I love the tree that's in my house in Lovell, it's so beautiful. It's not a real tree, but I personally like those better because they aren't as messy and you get can get them to look exactly how you want them! Sadly, I wasn't able to help decorate it this year because of finals, but it was so fun to come home to Lovell from Laramie and see the tree up & decorated because it made it finally feel like Christmas to me.

I'm so excited for Christmas & Christmas Eve, and it has been so fun helping my parents get everything ready for Christmas. I actually like Christmas even more now that I'm helping get everything ready instead of just waiting for all of it to be done to enjoy it; getting ready is half the fun. I love the Christmas holidays and the spirit it brings!!

One More Down.....

Well I am officially done with another semester of college. I had 4 finals last week and I am so glad that the week is over! Now I am home in Lovell & able to relax from schoolwork for an entire month, and I couldn't be more excited. :)

During finals week I had 2 finals Tuesday, 1 Wednesday, and then my last was on Friday. Tuesday I had my Human Anatomy final at 8:00 and then my Calculus final at 3:30, Wednesday my Organic Chemistry final was at 7:30 in the morning, and Friday my Statistics final was at 1:15. Thursday morning I had to proctor the General Chemistry exam at 8:00 in the morning and then grade immediately afterward.

Wednesday afternoon I went to lunch with my cousin Laura Hatch, who has become one of my best friends down in Laramie. It was fun but sad at the same time because this was Laura's last semester in Laramie, she has to go to Green River to finish her student teaching. I'm so glad we got to be such good friends but now I'm very sad that she has to leave.

Later Wednesday night, Mikey and I went to watch Old Dogs at the theatre. It was pretty fun because we were they only two in the theatre & the movie was great! We also listened to Christmas music and tried to put together 1000 piece puzzle, NOT EASY! We only got the boarder done before I decided to call it quits.

Thursday night Kristen Scheffler came to my house so we could hang out before I came home for the break. It's crazy we haven't seen each other most of the semester except maybe once or twice because of our busy schedules! It was a lot of fun, eating pizza & popcorn, and watching a movie. It wasn't quite the luau we had last semester, but it was still a lot of fun! It was great seeing all my friends before I went home for Christmas break, and it was also nice to break up my studying!!

Friday after my exam I got all my stuff packed, cleaned my house, and went to bed. I woke up Saturday morning, went to breakfast with Mikey, and then headed to Lovell at 10:00. Now I'm home in Lovell and it has been fun already. My sisters & I went to watch New Moon (it was mine and Kara's 3rd time, Emi's 4th time, & Dani's 2nd time [except she slept through it the first time]!).

It's already been a nice break, and it's only beginning!

On The Road Again.....

So tomorrow I finally get to go home to Lovell for Thanksgiving. I miss my my family, my home when I'm away, and my mom's delicious cooking! I'm so excited to get to eat all the yummy Thanksgiving food!!

I have an exam at 8 in the morning for Human Anatomy, and then I'm going to be skipping Calculus so I can get to Lovell before dark! It's so nice to be able to go to Lovell, spend time with my family, and not have to turn around and come back two days later. I'll be headed to Lovell between 9 & 9:30 and drive for 6 hours! YUCK, but it's totally worth it to get to go home! It's snowing a little here again in Laramie, but that's to be expected with the lovely weather here, and that just gives me another good reason to skip math and come home earlier!

The day is going to go quickly because of course I have an exam tonight, I'll get home and pack, then study for my other exam, go to bed, then take my exam tomorrow morning, and then LOVELL HERE I COME! I can't wait to see my family!!

It's Finally Time....

Tonight I am going to the midnight premier of New Moon; I am super excited! I have been waiting for this to come out for a long time. Even though I'm going to be very tired tomorrow at school it's totally worth it. Who knew that books & movies about vampires would be get me so excited?!
Luckily everything worked out with my school work and I don't have anything that's due tomorrow, I had 2 exams yesterday, got registered for my classes next semester, one exam Monday, one Tuesday, and I don't have any homework due until Monday, so I don't have anything to worry about for tomorrow, THANK GOODNESS!

Walking In A Winter Wonderland....

Well It's Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas & we're Walking In A Winter Wonderland here in Laramie. I guess the weather doesn't realize that it's over a month early! It started snowing two nights ago late and snowed all day yesterday. The sun came out at the end of the day yesterday and melted a bit of the snow. Now today, it's been snowing all day long! Luckily it's not too cold because the wind isn't blowing. I love the snow, if only it didn't make driving miserable. If it could snow everywhere except the roads, snow would be just fine!

Last year, the winter here in Laramie wasn't too bad. It looks like it's making up for it already... it makes me a little nervous to see what the winter is going to look like if it's snowing this much already! Hopefully it doesn't get too bad as everyone says it does, but we'll see!

The snow does get me excited for Christmas because there's nothing like a white Christmas.... Only a week until Thanksgiving, two weeks after that until my birthday, and twelve days after that until Christmas! WOW, this semester & entire year has gone by so fast!

Not Much Going On.....

Well I don't have too much going on right now...just school, homework, exams, and then I get to start all over again!

Two weeks ago Matt Koritnik, Kayla Green, and I headed to Lander for our sister's regional volleyball. The Lady Bulldogs did very well taking 2nd place at regionals, losing to Rocky in the Championship.

After getting back to Laramie and into my school routine, we had a BIG snow storm. Tuesday within about 2 hours it snowed about 3-4 inches! Laramie was supposed to get about 2 feet of snow in two days, but luckily we didn't get quite that much. I was really bumbed because all the roads were closed & I didn't think I'd make it Casper for State... as luck would have it the roads opened up Thursday after my classes, so Matt & I took off for Casper and skipped class on Friday because the roads were not in good enough condition to make a trip back to Laramie that night.

It was nice to have a long weekend with my family & watch Dani play her last year of volleyball! Well, she is quite the stud & and did awesome! Lovell placed 4th, the only team from the West to place at the state tournament!

With these 2 breaks, there's only 2 and 1/2 weeks until Thanksgiving vacation, after Thanksgiving break I'll have 1 more week of classes & then Finals are the following week!! The semester is almost over & I'm so excited!! For now though it's a lot of homework, pretty much the same routine every day, and not much to do in good 'ole Laramie! But the end is coming quick, so I can handle it for a few more weeks!
